Share the Joy of Your Dog — Make a Real Difference Do you have a friendly dog who loves meeting new people? Bring your good-natured pet along to visit a dog loving senior in care. During your visit, you’ll walk your dog through the care home to greet residents, then sit together for a relaxed chat, cuddles, and plenty of pats. You’ll quickly see the joy and comfort your furry friend can bring. If you’re a dog lover looking for a heartfelt way to give back, this is a wonderful chance to volunteer with your pet and brighten someone’s day — one wagging tail at a time. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of the clients cared for by HammondCare. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Requirements 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare • We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for 30 minutes to one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
